Faith Pleases

Scripture:  On one of those days, as he was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was with him to heal. 18 And behold, men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they sought to bring him in and lay him before Jesus; 19 but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. 20 And when he saw their faith he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." Luke 5:17-20

Reflection:  Where there’s a will there is a way. But our limitations can be stretched unto death; for death is the end of it all.

But there is a way for the will and that is faith. Faith not only helps us to stretch the maximum but even go beyond in unfathomable measure. Through faith we see beyond as if blindly but it is no blindness but a sure hope we look to and it is accomplished and still keep accomplishing. That which is accomplished is the fruit or work of faith which pleases God.  In other words the work of faith is accomplished in union with God who says; Apart from me you can do nothing (jn. 15:5)

If we are pleased much with the faith reposed in us, how much the God of righteousness. The work of faith is eternity and eternity of wealth and happiness. The work of faith is forgiveness of sins. Nothing displeases God so much as our lack of faith and confidence in his love and power; for it pleases God much to give us much.

Prayer:  Lord, increase our faith.(Lk.17:5)
